Update

Obviously you might have noticed that I have not post anything recently. The reason is simply, I do not agree with the course “WordPress” has taken and consequently I have decided to leave platform this summer.

What I am doing? First of all, I have a business to run. However, in my sparse free time, I am working on a substantial overhaul of my Elynesia Universe. A few major changes are:

  • Satelliteland will now be named Satnalia
  • Elynesia will finally get a proper currency name instead of the “credit”
  • Each major nation within this fictional universe will be assigned a language

Also I am planning a revision of my Urando Triology -which I will gave an update at a later moment. For now, I wish you all a nice day and stay safe and healthy!

Orbital Space Settlements

As pointed out in my previous post, in the Elynesia Universe almost all space settlers live in orbital space habitats. However, many people are unfamiliar with this concept. Fortunately, YouTube channel TopTenz has a good introduction video for what orbital space settlements could like:

Rank-Raglan and Atrahasis

Atrahasis is one of the key founders of the Republic of Elynesa and his influence on its society can hardly be overestimated. Though by far one of the most powerful persons of the 21st century, he is covered with mysteries. Many facts are unknown to the general public and to some extent his identity is deliberate creation of the Elynesian government. Continue reading →

Elynesian Fiscal & Monetary Policy

One cannot really discuss the economic history of Elynesia without having to address the fiscal an monetary policies pursued by the various governments. A short note

The overall majority of background information on Elynesia and its allies and rivals published here, is derived from:

The History of Elynesia by Prof. Dr. E. A. Van der Beek, first edition, Ilium Novum University Press, 2312.

This work basically covers the period between 1989 and 2299, when Professor Van der Beek started writing this tome. Due to its sheer size, it is divided into the following parts:

  1. Prelude to the Republic (1989-2035)
  2. The Young Republic (2035-2115)
  3. The Republic at War (2115-2148)
  4. The Imperial Republic (2148-2210)
  5. The Republic under Fire (2210-2299)

Note: there is a lot of criticism regarding the naming of the latter two parts.
